LAUREN BRUCE WODICKA
Lauren Bruce Wodicka has been surrounded and inspired by art her entire life. A Virginia native, Lauren has gained notoriety throughout the state painting some of the most beautiful scenery the Piedmont region has to offer. Born and raised in Lynchburg, Lauren has fond memories sketching and painting as a little girl. A huge fan of artist Claude Monet, it’s no surprise that her painting style has always been impressionistic. In 2005, Lauren opened the doors to her first storefront, Lauren B Gallery in Old Town Alexandria. It was there that clients could shop Lauren’s artwork, an array of antiques, hand painted furniture and home decor. Watching customers purchase items to furnish and decorate their homes, sparked a fire in the artist to expand her business. In 2011, Lauren closed shop in Alexandria and opened LBW Studio, where her love of art and interior design take centerstage. With an emphasis on sophisticated style, yet family-friendly interiors, Lauren works with clients throughout the Washington D.C. Metro area creating beautiful, elegant and collected spaces. Lauren’s style is simply, a modern, updated take on traditional style. She still enjoys hunting down special antiques while sourcing from quality companies as well. And she’s never put down that paint brush! This past January, Lauren released an extensive collection of her iconic blue and white ginger jar oil paintings on her website. The paint isn’t drying any time soon. With her children growing, a larger studio and more time to paint, inspiration is flowing and business is expanding and adapting to current times (virtual design is now an available service!) Lauren releases small oil painting collections frequently on her website for sale to bring beautiful artwork to new collectors. She looks forward to collaborating with more artists in the future and showcasing her art for years to come. Lauren resides in Loudoun County, Virginia where she lives with her husband, Brent, and young children, Jackson and Reese.
