We asked Chrissy Ritter, of Chrissy Ritter LLC, five questions to learn more about her practice, habits, dreams, and her interior design tips & tricks. Read more below:



Q: Describe your design style in three words.
A: Layered, playful, and storied. Traditional Americana meets English country, with a more modern sensibility!

Q:  If you could hang any piece of art from any museum in your home, which would it be?
A: I would go right for Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer - I'm not sure another piece of art has captivated me more than that one.

Q: What inspired your love of design?
A: There is something so special about creating beauty for people that is actually used and experienced daily.  Home is so incredibly important and there is nothing more gratifying than being able to bring my clients' visions to life, and to watch them live it for years to come! 

Q: If you could design a space for any person, who would it be?
A: Not necessarily a specific person but would love to do an old English manor somewhere in the Cotswolds.

Q: What is your favorite part of the design process?
A: Definitely fabric scheming, I put heavy emphasis on prints, wallpapers, color and texture so it's important to me to begin with the fabrics. And of course there is nothing better than install day.
