ANNA VAUGHN KINCHELOE
Anna Vaughn Creech Kincheloe is an artist and designer out of Raleigh. Her series work is a reflection of free-spirited moments, often with a transportive quality and with connections between landscape elements that encourage the viewer to wander as well. She is drawn to expansive, wide-open spaces and attempts to evoke this particular sense of freedom in her paintings. Expression, color and movement are also important aspects to her work.
She has a background in both design and fine art (BFA in Art with an Art History Minor from East Carolina University; career moves ranging from magazine publishing to stationery design) and currently works out of her loft studio space near downtown Raleigh. When not in her studio, you can most likely find her down by the sea — with her husband, Hatcher, and daughter, Lucy — soaking up inspiration, salt air and endless horizon lines.
