About Maggie French

Maggie B. French is an artist, painter, and illustrator.

She graduated from UNCChapel Hill with a BFA in Studio Art. Maggie paints bold & gestural landscapes reminiscent of places throughout the Carolinas.

From the high country to the low country, Maggie captures the essence of each vista through big textures & colors. From her time living in Savannah, GA as well as many years as a camp counselor in the Appalachian mountains, Maggie finds a lot of her inspiration from places dearest to her. All of this in an effort to convey the beautiful oxymoron of wildness and stillness that is Southeast landscapes.

Maggie currently lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband and two children.
