Meredith Kinney is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the rhythm between structure and softness— where art and design meet.

With a background in fine art, graphic design, and branded environments, she brings an intentional, layered approach to her studio practice. Her pieces blend analog and digital techniques, often beginning with silhouetted botanicals that evolve through repeated layers of ink, paint, and pastel to create texture, rhythm, and contrast—creating something familiar but uniquely abstract.

After two decades in the design world, including her tenure at the global firm Perkins&Will—where she contributed to high-profile projects for Google, the Mayo Clinic, and the Atlanta Botanical Garden—Kinney returned to the studio to focus on creating art that feels both timeless and contemporary. Her work is featured in permanent collections at Google, American Express, and Shepherd Center, as well as in private homes across the country.

Based in Tennessee, Kinney continues to expand her fine art and surface pattern work, exploring how the clarity of design and the emotion of art can coexist to tell a deeper visual story.
